In their continuing desire to sign every decent, role-playing small forward in all of basketball, the Toronto Raptors agreed to a 4 year, $20 million contract with former Nugget Linas Kleiza (not on the Big Board). Kleiza played a few year with Denver and was a very nice energy role player off the bench. He spent last year in Greece and appeared ready to stay there this year until the Raptors jumped in with a big contract. Kleiza is a guy I really like on a good team. He shoots, he brings energy, and he is fearless. He's a nice player and $5 million a year isn't just terrible. But it is just another fairly long term contract with a guy who isn't going to sell tickets or win you games for a team that is already jam packed with guys who fit that exact same mould. I think Toronto is in for a very long, rough couple of years.
